Mendocino Coast is a rich environment with many local communities - Mendocino, Little River, Caspar, Comptche, Albion, Fort Bragg, Boonville, Navarro, Anderson Valley, Philo, Elk, Gualala, Westport, Cleone and more. When traveling to the area, the best strategy is to wear layered clothing and be prepared for a range of temperatures. Temperatures generally change dramatically within just a few miles. So even when it's 100º inland, be sure and bring long pants and a jacket when traveling to the coast.
